Important Information for workmen/employees

A. Background
  1. Jet Airways (India) Limited (“Jet” or “Corporate Debtor”) is presently undergoing liquidation under the provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (“Code”) read with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Liquidation Process) Regulations, 2016 (“Liquidation Regulations”).
  2. The Hon’ble National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi Bench (“NCLAT”), vide its order dated March 10, 2026, passed in Company Appeal (AT) (Ins) Nos. 419 and 420 of 2026 filed by the financial creditors and employees/ workmen respectively, has stayed the distribution of proceeds from the sale of assets of the Corporate Debtor.
  3. However, with a view to ensuring an efficient and orderly distribution mechanism upon the disposal of the aforesaid appeals, the process of collating and verifying information pertaining to the stakeholders of the Corporate Debtor is being undertaken.
  4. In this regard, solely as part of an informationgathering exercise, you are requested to extend your cooperation by promptly submitting the requisite details on the eportal created by the Corporate Debtor, accessible at [●] (“Information Portal”), for the limited purpose of facilitating any future distribution of dues to eligible former employees/workmen of the Corporate Debtor, subject to applicable law and orders of the competent authority.
  5. It is hereby clarified that any distribution of amounts towards employee claims shall be made strictly in accordance with the final orders passed by the NCLAT or any other competent appellate authority, as applicable.
  6. Further, the issuance of these FAQs and/or the collection of information on the Information Portal is undertaken purely on a withoutprejudice basis and shall not be construed as an admission, acknowledgement, or confirmation of liability, obligation, or entitlement on the part of the Liquidator and/or the Corporate Debtor, whether under law or otherwise.
B. General Information
Why is the Corporate Debtor collecting bank details from former employees/workmenonthe InformationPortal?

Since the liquidationof the Corporate Debtor commenced on November 26, 2024, significant amount of time has lapsed.The Corporate Debtor has been intimated that bank account details of various stakeholders may have changed from the details as provided in the claim forms or as per the records available with the Corporate Debtor. Therefore,the Corporate Debtor is collecting updated bank account details of its employees/workmento enable timely settlement of claims to eligible employees/workmen.

C. Access to Information Portal & Submission
How do I access the Information Portal?

You may access the Information Portal at:- 9wemployeeclaims.unisparkinnovation.com

What information do I need to submit?

You are required to provide:

  • Jet Airways Employee ID
  • PAN Number Details
  • Current Email address of the employee
  • Current Mobile number of Employee
  • Name as per Bank Account of the employee
  • Bank Account Number of the employee
  • Name of the Bank with which the bank account is maintained
  • IFSC Code of the branch with which the Bank account is maintained
  • Details of Nominees if applicable.
  • Cancelled cheque
  • Copy of PAN
  • Copy of AADHAR
  • Employee declaration cum undertaking for gratuity payments (“Tax Undertaking”)
  • Employee declaration cum undertaking for gratuity payments to Nominees where applicable (“Nominee Undertaking”)

It may be noted that submission of tax declaration for the purpose of gratuity by a workmen or employee will not automatically entitle the workmen or employee to gratuity. The gratuity dues for workmen and employees have been calculated basis the payroll records of the company, the information provided by the erstwhile resolution professional, as per the provisions of the Payment of Gratuity Act 1972 and other applicable law. The basis of calculation of employee claims has already been included in the list of claims updated on the website of the corporate debtor from time to time.

What happens if incorrect bank details are submitted?

Employees/Workmen are solely responsible for ensuring that the details submitted by them are true and correct in all particulars. Employees/Workmen shall verify the accuracy of information being submitted on the Information Portal. The employees also acknowledge that provision of incorrect bank details may lead to payment delays or failure of transfer or transfer to a third party, and such delay, failure or wrongful/ incorrect transfer cannot be attributable to the Liquidator or the Corporate Debtor. Neither can the Liquidator, Corporate Debtor or any of their representatives, employees, advisors, personnel or nomineeshall in any manner be held liable for such delay, failure or wrongful/ incorrect transfer.

Will I receive confirmation after submission?

Upon submission, a system-generated acknowledgement number will be shown on screen. An email will also be sent to your registered email address upon successful submission of your details. You can use this acknowledgement number to track the status of your submission.

Can I edit my submission after submitting the form?

You may edit your submission only once, provided your data has not been locked for verification purposes.

If you need to re-submit after your data is locked, please raise a support ticket. Team will review your request and basis a valid justification will unlock your application

Will tax be deducted from gratuity payments?

Taxation will be as per applicable provisions of the erstwhile Payment of Gratuity Act and erstwhile Income-tax Act, 1961 read with Income-tax Act, 2025 as more particularly mentioned in the Tax Undertaking.

D. Legal Heirs in case of deceased employees
What if the eligible employee/workman is deceased or for any reason the eligible employee/ workman wants to wants nominate an heir to receive the dues towards the settlement of employee claims?

The Information Portal provides a dedicated option for legal heirs or nominees to submit required details and supporting documents for processing the claim for cases where the employees/workmen have deceased.

What documents may legal heirs need to provide?

Legal heirs may be required to submit supporting documents such as identity proof, relationship proof, and other legal documentation as requested during submission. The verification of documents for legal heirs will be undertaken separately in order to establish the identity of the legal heir.

  • Nominee Aadhar Card
  • Nominee Cancelled Cheque / Bank Passbook Copy
  • Deceased Employee Death Certificate
  • Nominee Proof (eg. Legal Heir / Succession Certificate)
  • Any other relevant document (Optional)
I have changed my name since leaving the Corporate Debtor. What should I do?

You may submit your updated details along with supporting documentation separately which shall be subject to verification.
